Nova Mercanteis always working in benefit to the entire communication value chain and because it cares about society at large and the environment Nova Mercante is going beyond the supply of paper.
Living up to its essence Nova Mercante and its employees strive each year to develop new projects aimed at social development and environmental preservation.
In 2009, celebrating 20 years of the Consumer Protection Code, Nova Mercante, together with other companies, contributed to the production of an Consumer Protection instruction manual based on the comics of Mauricio de Sousa.
In 2010, Nova Mercante received the important certificate issued by the Forest Stewardship Council. This FSC certification guarantees the supply of paper from managed forests, according to the Principles and Criteria that combine eco-friendly and correct practices, social benefits and economic viability.
Nova Mercante encourages its employees to incorporate preservation of the environment in their day-to-day business. Each employee's desk has special garbage bins to ensure conscious disposal. Collection of these products is carried out by "Cooperativa Central Tiete", located in the Tatuape region, and responsible for the collection of 100 tons of recyclable products each month.
In addition, all promotional material such as notepads and other office supplies instead of being discarded are donated to nurseries and public schools. All these actions are part of the construction of a better future for Nova Mercante and everybody with whom we interact.
